The collection draws its inspiration from the Periodic Table of the chemical elements – “Systema Periodicum” in Latin – a foundational framework of modern chemistry, equally revered in physics and across the scientific disciplines. Created in 1869, it organizes all 118 elements known today and describes the characteristics of new, as-yet-undiscovered elements, marking it as one of the most remarkable achievements in the history of science. SULPHUR (S) – a bright yellow solid crystal (under normal conditions) that can be found in pure form near hot springs and volcanic regions in many parts of the world. Sulphur has been known since antiquity, with references to its use in old, ancient Greece, China and ancient Egypt. The watch case is designed in the “bullhead” style, meaning a configuration with the crown and chronograph pushers positioned at 12 o’clock. This layout offers several advantages: – it makes reading the time convenient without having to turn the wrist; – it allows comfortable operation of the chronograph pushers and the crown; – it reduces the risk of hand injury often associated with the conventional crown-at-3-o’clock configuration.
